Stacking Operator-2nd and 3rd Shift
About The Position
The Ideal Tridon Group is seeking Stacking Operators for 2nd and 3rd Shift to join their team at Wesanco in Smyrna TN. This role involves working in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing setting that may include dust and debris and can be loud at times. The operator will perform various tasks involved in bagging/boxing operations, including setting up and operating bagging machines, handling parts and materials, and packing parts using hand tools and various packing materials. Safety procedures, proper handling of finished parts, and quality checks are essential. The job may require overtime and a flexible schedule, including reporting early, working late, and weekends.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal communication skills with strong aptitude for operating machinery.
- Ability to follow instructions and learn the production process.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must be able to clear drug screen and background check.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Ability to frequently and repetitively bend, twist, kneel, crouch, and reach.
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Ability to talk and hear.
- Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to occasionally climb stairs, drive vehicles, and operate equipment.
- Ability to lift or carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Must wear required hearing and/or eye protection.
Nice To Haves
- Hi-Lo Certification preferred, will be trained, and certified on the hi-lo.
- 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials.
- Responsible for quality inspection.
- Operate a power forklift.
- Responsible for correctly warehousing/storing finished goods.
- Assist with any other manual labor tasks as needed.
- Set up and operate bagging machines.
- Handle parts and materials.
- Pack parts and other related activities using hand tools and various packing materials.
- Follow all applicable safety procedures to avoid injuries.
- Provide quality checks as determined.
