ABS Stacker/Sanitation - 2nd Shift
About The Position
This role involves loading pallets with finished product, verifying quantity, quality, and labeling of products for shipment, and sanitizing the work area. The position requires performing various duties related to material handling, counting, weighing, and recording product movement. Additionally, the role includes cleaning and sanitizing the work area and preparing it for the next day's production. The job demands adherence to company policies, productivity standards, safety procedures, and maintaining regular attendance and punctuality. The individual should be adaptable to change, dependable, and demonstrate initiative by offering and asking for help when needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form.
- Basic knowledge of computers and the ability to input data into a computer.
- Lift 50 pounds 500-1000 times during the shift.
- Stand and/or walk for the duration of the shift.
- Use hands to finger, grip, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- Talk and hear.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Responsibilities
- Loads pallets with finished product and verifies quantity, quality, and labeling of products ready for shipment.
- Sanitizes their work area.
- Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets by hand.
- Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.
- Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials.
- Assists other positions when needed.
- Cleans and sanitizes work area.
- Cleans and sanitizes room and prep for the next days production.
