About The Position

The Stacker Operator performs activities associated with stacking equipment efficiently and safely and assists dry end operators with setup, operation, cleanup, and recommendations for operational improvements. Employees must comply with applicable plant and OSHA safety rules. The role includes monitoring product quality, reviewing run sheets and order specifications, communicating issues to the control room and tally team, recording caliper measurements at grade changes, clearing jams, completing order checklists, and reporting maintenance needs through the work order procedure. The operator requests help from the Dry End Assistant when necessary.

Responsibilities

Keep the machine running and check each load for warp, wrinkles, bond, and other quality problems.
Review run sheets for size, color, flute changes, special unit counts and heights, coating orders, tear tape, auxiliary setups, and narrow and wide trim.
Notify the control room about problems.
Record sheet caliper at each grade change.
Communicate with tally about sorting out bad board, the number of stacks tied, and possible fall-over loads before discharge.
Tie in multiple outs when possible.
Clear jam-ups.
Complete a stacker checklist for each order to confirm product quality.
Report maintenance needs using the work order procedure.
Request assistance from the Dry End Assistant when necessary.

Help dry end operators with setup, operation, cleanup, and recommendations for operational improvements.
