Requirements

  • High School Graduate or GED.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, such as schedules and orders.
  • Must be willing to work overtime on short notice, including weekends
  • Ability to work in manufacturing environment, with varying temperatures based on season, around machinery, and heavy Forklift traffic.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 + year of experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Works as part of the production crew with a main focus on preparing the machine for the production run, according to the customer order.
  • Prepares the stencil that stamps the product with identification.
  • Cleans and oils the machine daily.
  • Orders pallets from the Forklift Driver, according to the need expressed on the schedule.
  • Responsible for having pallets at the machine for the finished products.
  • Assists with running orders when the machine is ready by watching the run continue smoothly and without problem. If a problem arises, such as machine failure, product quality is not to standard, or a shortage of paper, this individual notifies the operator of the problem. May need to work with management, maintenance, and other company employees to fix the problem.
  • Palletizes the product according to the shop card and/or in a manner suitable for shipping.
  • May be required to feed the machine on occasion.
  • Responsible for adhering to the ISO procedures and taking direction from the operator.
  • Works with various production machines and basic tools such as hammer and knife.
