About The Position

The Stacker C4 BV is responsible for palletizing products on pallets according to product codes and dates. This role involves placing empty pallets and slip sheets, stacking products, and rotating each layer until pallets reach the proper case counts. The Stacker is expected to participate as a member of the team, contributing to ongoing development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies, and coordinating work to ensure best practices. The position requires familiarity with Simmons’ established operating systems, including quality, security, office environment, and company policies, and the responsibility to maintain this familiarity and communicate concerns or improvement ideas. The Stacker will also perform other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.

Responsibilities

Palletize products on pallets according to product codes and dates
Place a proper empty pallet and slip sheet on line to be stacked
Stack pallets according to product codes and dates
Rotate each layer until pallets are at the proper case counts
Participate as a member of the team
Participate in ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies
Coordinate work to ensure best practices with all team members
Attend appropriate team meetings
Foster strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues; e.g., direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes, etc.
Accept responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues
Actively look for ways, and reinforce actions needed, to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization
Maintain familiarity with Simmons’ established operating systems (e.g. quality, security, office environment, company policies)
Understand the responsibility to maintain familiarity with the systems and this position’s role in support of these systems - including a consideration of the impact of individual actions on the systems and the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas
Perform other duties as necessary in support of business objectives
