In this role, you will serve as a critical checkpoint between design and customer delivery. You will validate and characterize SSD hardware across electrical, protocol, and system levels, ensuring performance, reliability, and functionality. You will work across NAND, DRAM, PCIe, and board-level systems, using Linux-based validation environments to test, debug, and automate processes. Your work will directly influence final hardware quality and customer outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Proficiency in Linux administration, scripting, and debug of test systems
  • Hands-on experience with lab instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, analyzers, and power supplies
  • Experience validating or bringing up complex digital hardware systems
  • Python scripting for automation and data analysis

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with enterprise or data center SSDs
  • Validation experience across power, performance, NAND, DRAM, or PCIe
  • PCIe Gen4 or Gen5 validation and calibration experience
  • Experience debugging chip-to-chip protocols such as I2C, I3C, SMBus, or UART
  • Familiarity with CI frameworks and version control tools such as Jenkins and Git

Responsibilities

  • Validate SSD hardware from bring-up through full electrical and protocol characterization
  • Characterize power, performance, NAND, DRAM, PCIe, and chip-to-chip interfaces
  • Identify hardware and component issues, drive root cause, and partner with design teams to implement fixes
  • Build and maintain Linux-based validation environments and debug system-level failures
  • Develop Python automation and data analysis tools to scale validation and improve repeatability
