About The Position

The SRI Team Leader will support the SRI Supervisor’s plans in maintaining the efficiency of the productivity, ensuring the safety of the team members, developing continuous improvement activities and implementing any necessary 5S or 3 Pillar activities.

  • Completing PCS and QCS sheets line sides
  • Completing daily tracking charts
  • Reviewing production report from previous shift
  • Reviewing and completing Communication Log
  • Informing Team Members of Abnormal Situations
  • Reviewing and discussing any quality issues or customer issues from previous day
  • Addressing operator issues
  • Completing Mfg. Check sheets for the first piece
  • Monitoring Sekisyo stand
  • Rotating first piece on the first and final sekisyo stand
  • Performing Mfg. Hourly check sheets
  • Communicating problems or counter measures to appropriate personnel
  • Facilitating safety communication to team members
  • Ensuring team members are practicing proper ergonomics and safe behavior
  • Ensuring team members know evacuation plan
  • Monitoring that team members are wearing proper PPE
  • Ensuring quality of product running on the lines in the department
  • Ensuring appropriate communication of defects and actions taken when received
  • Investigating final inspection results
  • Assisting Supervisor with implementing counter measures
  • Documenting any abnormals or quality issues
  • Informing the Supervisor of abnormals or quality issues
  • Providing good feedback to appropriate personnel
  • Establishing counter measures
  • Investigating defective parts
  • Reporting conditions to Quality
  • Reviewing defective parts with team members
  • Assisting in rework and sorts
  • Answering andons promptly
  • Providing support necessary to keep line running
  • Making repairs necessary throughout day
  • Responding to any Stop Call Waits issued by Team Members
  • Assisting in implementing short term C/M to get line running
  • Preventing future downtime
  • Ensuring TM's are performing production activities
  • Ensuring TM's are following standard work
  • Coordinating repair arrangements for broken tools
  • Confirming tools after repair
  • Auditing processes to ensure TM's are following established standardized work
  • Ensuring TM's are practicing good assy. Techniques
  • Remaining knowledgeable on all current and new models
  • Assisting Supervisor in scheduling training for T/M's
  • Completing all training documentations required
  • Assisting in Kaizen or other continuous improvement activities for the department
  • Communicating with other shifts Team Leader or Supervisor
  • Informing other shifts of problems such as part shortages, quality problems, safety problems, Kaizens activity and any machine failures.

Responsibilities

  • Determine where team members will be placed taking the absenteeism into account
  • Complete PM checksheet items, all final checks, PCS and QCS sheets line sides, and Complete any daily tracking charts.
  • Review production report from previous shift.
  • Review and Complete Communication Log and Inform Team Members of Abnormal Situations
  • Review and discuss any quality issues or customer issues from previous day. Go over any operator issues then address them.
  • Complete Mfg. Check sheets for the first piece
  • Monitor Sekisyo stand should be clear from the previous shift. Rotate first piece on the first and final sekisyo stand.
  • Perform Mfg. Hourly check sheets and communicate any problems or counter measures put in place to the appropriate personnel
  • Facilitate safety communication to team member. Ensure team members are practicing proper ergonomics and safe behavior. Ensure team members know evacuation plan. Monitor that team members are wearing proper PPE.
  • Ensure quality of product running on the lines in the department and ensuring appropriate communication of defects and actions taken when received.
  • Investigate final inspection results and assist Supervisor with implementing counter measures.
  • Document any abnormals or quality issues and inform the Supervisor. Provide good feedback to the appropriate personal and establish counter measures.
  • Investigate defective parts and report conditions to Quality and review with t/m's.
