About The Position

American National Group Services LLC is seeking a Sr Web Developer II to perform application web development. This role involves developing or directing software system testing or validation procedures, programming, and documentation. The ideal candidate will apply technical concepts and knowledge of the company's internal policies and procedures to solve complex problems creatively and effectively. This position requires completing assignments involving new technologies and business processes with minimal supervision. The developer will communicate fluently with business representatives, understand business requirements, and translate them into supporting system requirements, producing simple technical specifications. Key responsibilities include coding readable, reliable, and maintainable programs in various languages on multiple platforms, performing unit and system testing, reviewing test results with the business, and making necessary adjustments. The role also involves enforcing coding standards, migrating deliverables to production, recording time and status, and responding to production issues as part of an on-call rotation for 24-hour support. Demonstrated adherence to CTS values and behaviors is expected.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or closely related field.
2 years of experience in web application development.
2 years of experience developing and maintaining web applications using JavaScript frameworks such as React.js or Angular.
2 years of experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs using Nest.js or Java.
2 years of experience writing and maintaining unit and integration tests using backend frameworks such as JUnit or Mockito and frontend frameworks such as Jasmine or Karma.
2 years of experience configuring and managing CI/CD pipelines utilizing version control systems such as Git.
2 years of experience architecting and optimizing SQL queries and stored procedures utilizing SQL Server or MySQL.
2 years of experience applying secure coding practices and adhering to cybersecurity industry standards and guidelines to safeguard applications against vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities

Perform application web development.
Develop or direct software system testing or validation procedures, programming, or documentation.
Apply technical concepts and knowledge of the company's internal policies and procedures to solve complex problems in creative and effective ways.
Complete assignments that extend to new technologies and business processes with little to no assistance from management.
Communicate fluently with the business representatives.
Understand business requirements and relate these to the supporting system requirements, producing simple technical specifications for the work to be done.
Code readable, reliable and maintainable programs in a variety of programming languages on multiple platforms necessary to support the team's assigned systems.
Perform unit and system testing using test plans and scripts approved by the business.
Review test results with the business and make the necessary adjustments to the deliverables.
Follow and enforce coding standards, guidelines and codes and review team members’ work, ensuring standards and best practices are followed.
Obtain approvals and migrates deliverables to the locked-up production environment.
Record time and status to appropriate projects or support activity for billing.
Respond promptly to production issues by serving on an on-call rotation for the 24-hour support of the team's systems.
Demonstrated the documented CTS values and behaviors.
