About The Position

Cambridge Trust – A Division of Eastern Bank is hiring a Senior Trust Officer in NH. The Senior Trust Officer is responsible for the effective administration of personal trust accounts, estate settlements, investment agency accounts, and other fiduciary relationships. This role ensures high-quality client service, adherence to fiduciary standards, regulatory compliance, risk management, and the prudent oversight of assets. The Trust Officer serves as a relationship manager and trusted advisor to clients, beneficiaries, attorneys, accountants, and internal partners.

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 8+ years of experience in wealth or trust administration.
  • Knowledge of trust law, estate administration, and fiduciary standards.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and trust systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Trust & Financial Advisor (CTFA) and/or Trust School desirable, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Administer a portfolio of trusts, estates, investment agencies, and custody accounts.
  • Interpret trust instruments, wills, and legal documents.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Conduct ongoing account reviews.
  • Serve as primary contact for clients and beneficiaries.
  • Provide proactive communication and guidance.
  • Generate new business opportunities.
  • Complete required administrative, investment, and compliance reviews.
  • Work with internal audit, compliance, and legal teams.
  • Project coordination and participation.
  • Coordinate valuations, tax filings, and distributions.
