Resourcive: Sr. Technology Sourcing Advisor

ScanSourceGreenville, SC
Hybrid

About The Position

Resourcive is an independent firm of telecom and IT experts and consultants, part of the ScanSource family. They help businesses reduce the expense and complexity of their telecom and IT infrastructure through a strategic, vendor-agnostic approach. They work with private-equity-owned, high-growth companies in the mid-market and enterprise space. The Senior Technology Sourcing Advisor (STSA) will own assigned client relationships end-to-end, leading a team of consultants and an implementation manager, coordinating technology practice leads, and serving as the primary point of contact for client executives and their private equity owners. The role requires managing delivery, identifying new workstreams for client value and Resourcive revenue, and holding the team accountable to process and timeline, with a strong emphasis on urgency and milestone discipline.

Requirements

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, including the ability to distill months of progress into a clear, concise summary of status, impact, timing, and strategy
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills for hands-on data and spend analysis, and strong PowerPoint skills for client-ready decks
  • Ability to manage, coach, and hold people accountable, including practice leads and SMEs who are not direct reports
  • Comfort operating at both altitudes: holistic client strategy and detailed, hands-on analysis
  • Excellent time management and fluid context-switching across a dense, back-to-back calendar
  • Active listening, curiosity, and the confidence to ask probing questions and think on your feet
  • A genuine advisory presence that builds trust quickly, as a partner rather than a vendor
  • A bias toward fast iteration, producing an initial product quickly and refining it rather than over-deliberating
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 10 years of sales or consulting experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in telecommunications, cloud, or IT consulting
  • Proven track record in managing C-level client relationships and leading a team
  • Experience identifying and developing new revenue streams within client engagements
  • Strong background in enterprise technology procurement and implementation
  • Broad technical fluency across voice, networking, infrastructure, cybersecurity, contact center, and a basic understanding of enterprise software (Microsoft, Oracle, SAP), with enough depth in a few areas to hold a credible conversation with technical or C-suite stakeholders
  • Understanding of the telecom/technology channel model, deal registration, and SOW development
  • Experience in financial modeling, cost impact analysis, and procurement
  • Special Operations veteran background

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Sr. Advisor in client facing role, advising technology leadership on sourcing, deployment and value engineering of technology products and services.
  • Help clients get maximum value out of the IT services they consume.
  • Own the end-to-end relationship for assigned clients.
  • Define scope and strategy clearly so clients understand what is being delivered, distinguish in-scope work from billable professional services, and staff each project with the right consultants and practice leads.
  • Join presales calls with the business development team to vet prospective clients and identify monetization opportunities.
  • Run kickoff calls that introduce the Resourcive process and team, establish the appropriate engagement model, and set the initial meeting cadence.
  • Run governance calls on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly cadence with senior client sponsors, reporting milestone progress, impact, timing, and strategy to both the client and their private equity owners.
  • Identify and develop opportunities to grow engagements beyond the initial initiative.
  • Manage a team of consultants and an implementation manager.
  • Run daily standups where team members arrive with completed deliverables for review, set weekly expectations for agendas and next steps, hold weekly 1:1 deal rundowns across each person’s book of work, review deliverable quality, and handle standard supervisory duties such as reviews and time-off.
  • Work with technology practice leads and subject-matter engineers to determine when and how they engage on client initiatives, often across several concurrent projects for a single client.
  • Track what is due, by whom, and when, across both direct reports and practice leads who do not report to you, holding the extended team accountable to the timeline.
  • Build, scope, negotiate, and close SOWs for professional services fees, managing each like any other project through to signature.
  • Resolve deal registration and compensation conflicts within the channel model, and serve as the escalation point for team and channel challenges.
  • Review large volumes of spend and technology data, with team support, to build assessments, identify trends and interdependencies, and organize findings into clear, recommended strategies for the client.
  • Lead meetings with C-level, technical, finance, and PE stakeholders, translating the same initiative appropriately for each audience and presenting polished materials, largely on camera in a remote environment.
  • Contribute to working on the business by identifying new technology focus areas, addressing process bottlenecks, maintaining channel-manager relationships, and finding ways to expand wallet share through the ScanSource relationship.
  • Work with VP of Engagement Team to improve process, training, documentation, and required deliverables or templates.
  • Maintain accurate CRM and reporting to manage performance, drive adoption, and ensure data accuracy.
  • Promote and support the Resourcive culture and professional environment.
  • Mentor and support the professional development of consultants.
  • Deliver outcomes that create business value through clients’ sourcing and implementation of technology solutions, evidenced by positive feedback and client referrals.
  • Manage the team to meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue production targets.
  • Work closely with internal teams, practice leads, and vendors to support client needs and deliver optimal solutions.
  • Travel up to 10% for client meetings and industry events.
