About The Position
The Quality Lab supports metrology needs for Prototype and Engineering within a team comprised of Prototype Build, Machine Shop, and Ride Development Functions.
Requirements
- 3+ years of related Metrology experience and or training
- Experience with engineering assembly and component drawings
- CMM programming capabilities /Experience in use of GD&T
- Ability/willingness to teach CMM (operation and programming) and related quality measurement equipment, techniques, and applications
- Basic math and reading skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Solid organization and time management skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Inspect components, in‑process parts, and finished assemblies for dimensional accuracy according to highlighted prints and customer requirements.
- Implement component quality status indicators and fulfill all customer‑specific inspection standards.
- Report inspection results in standardized formats or customer‑required templates, ensuring GD&T accuracy on all prints.
- Comply with quality policies, group directives, and IATF‑16949 procedures while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Train employees in proper inspection methods to ensure consistent and accurate quality practices.
- Support and maintain GageTrak software, manage gage issue/return/calibration schedules, and perform Gage R&R studies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‑free work area using 5S practices within the quality laboratory.
- Perform additional duties as required to support overall quality operations.
