Responsible for creating and revising aircraft and ground equipment engineering drawings of detailed parts, installations and assemblies per the specifications described in the Engineering Drafting Manual, Engineering Procedures Manual and the General Procedures Manual.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalency
• 2 years of formal drafting training at a technical drafting school
• 3 years of professional CAD drafting experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Nice To Haves

• Associate;'s degree in Drafting from a technical drafting school
• Raster editing, scanning and document management software experience
• 3-5 years or more of professional CAD drafting experience
• Aviation experience
• Machine shop experience

Responsibilities

• Produces and/or revises mechanical and electrical type CAD drawings
• Maintains individual drawing records with applicable date information
• Self-transfer of an individual drawing file to the various checking stages of the drawing’s beginning to the final engineering approval signature required for each drawing
• Uploads the completed drawing file to the Drafting database located on a secured server
• Copies CAD file to pdf; sends notification of the drawing file’s pdf ready to be uploaded to a company employee, viewed only, database
• Provides drawing checking support to drafters located in the AA system.
• Follows the drawing tracking system established by the Drafting Section
