About The Position

We are seeking a Sr. Technical Writer/Editor to support our federal client. This position is contingent on contract award.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in English, Journalism, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of overall professional technical writing and editing experience.
  • 3+ years of dedicated technical editing experience supporting federal or enterprise communications, web content, and technical documentation projects.
  • Outstanding grammar, spelling, punctuation, and written communication skills in English.
  • Expert proficiency in applying plain language principles, active voice, appropriate detail levels, and consistent styling to improve ease of understanding and readability.
  • Proven ability to adapt tone, structure, and style to match specific target audience sensitivities and technical comprehension levels.
  • Skilled in organizing, structuring, and editing technical resources, user documentation, and program communications into clean, accessible formats.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert technical editing and content refinement support across communications, web content, and technical resources for our federal client program.
  • Review, edit, and rewrite technical materials to ensure full compliance with plain language standards, active voice, logical content organization, and consistent formatting.
  • Adapt tone and style to suit various target audiences and sensitivity levels, ensuring complex technical information is communicated clearly, concisely, and effectively to diverse audiences.
