I’m Jaime. I lead global recruiting for Zapier’s technical and product-building teams and I'm hiring an Americas-based Senior Technical Recruiter to join my team! Requirements

  • You have at least 5 years of experience in full-cycle recruiting for technical roles at a software or technology company.
  • You have experience evaluating candidates for a variety of technical and product roles.
  • You enjoy the challenge of finding exceptional talent for hard-to-fill Applied AI, Software Engineering, Data, and Site Reliability roles.
  • You’re savvy at vetting technical talent to attain a high pass through rates through hiring manager screens.
  • You have a high degree of AI fluency. You’re using AI in your work, you know where human intervention is still needed, and you see the opportunities that lie ahead as the tech advances. Big plus if you’re familiar with Zapier. Expect us to use AI in our process.
  • You're a trusted partner in talent. You are an advocate for creativity and out-of-the-box thinking to drive the best decisions with your hiring managers. You advise interview teams on the best approach to fill their positions and create/manage a process that delights candidates and empowers hiring decisions.
  • You are data-driven. You track pipeline health to balance your priorities and set hiring manager expectations. You know what the data tells you and how to adjust your search to meet time to hire and time to fill KPIs.
  • You are resourceful and comfortable with ambiguity and change. You know how to research questions, talent, and companies to find the answers and great people to recruit. You also know how to find information on your own and when to ask questions for more. You can pivot quickly when needed, and can still be effective when not all the answers are known.
  • You are a champion for diversity hiring & inclusive interview practices. At Zapier, we think that hiring and fostering a diverse team is just the right thing to do. A successful recruiter will actively work to reduce bias in sourcing, screening, and interviews.
  • You're comfortable driving and managing up. You prefer to own your work streams and enjoy working in autonomy to progress towards your goals, but not in a vacuum. You know where to maximize your time to achieve the best outcomes for your open roles, and how to keep your manager well informed in an asynchronous, remote work environment.
  • You provide an incredible candidate experience. You sweat the small stuff but keep the big picture in mind. You know that a job search is a challenging task and prioritize providing a more human experience for everyone that interacts with Zapier during a hiring process.
  • You are persistently helpful. No matter if it's pitching in on outreach or screening of applicants, scheduling, or covering for someone on PTO, you are an unstoppably helpful member for our recruiting team, hiring managers and candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full cycle recruitment processes from sourcing to candidate engagement to closing top candidates. You'll experiment by yourself, with the team, or by working in tandem with hiring managers to maximize outcomes.
  • Find or create new sources of talent. LinkedIn might be a great tool, but you'll always look for new and unique ways to source talented folks.
  • Meet or exceed our high standards for candidate experience, facilitating a best-in-class, inclusive, and inspiring hiring process for candidates from all backgrounds
  • Manage 5-10 requisitions at any given time (sometimes more), and consistently make 3+ hires/month.
  • Consistently leverage data and a wide range of technology including AI and automation tools to drive improvement in our hiring processes.
  • Contribute to the Talent Acquisition team's AI transformation internally by experimenting, piloting, and innovating new workflows and solutions for our stakeholders.
  • Meet or exceed our KPIs for time to hire, time to fill, and candidate NPS.
  • Travel of 5% - 10% for company summits which rotate to various cities, primarily throughout North America
