About The Position

Amazon Publisher Monetization (APM) is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to define program strategies and deliver delightful solutions in video advertising to our advertisers. You will drive simple and elegant advertiser and publisher facing features with complex data systems behind them. You will manage implementation of multiple projects ensuring product strategy goals and requirements are delivered with quality. As Sr TPM, you will interact with product managers, software development managers, developers, and senior leaders across partner teams in the ads organization to deliver complex projects and programs. You will define roadmap deliverables, develop program execution plans, track progress, anticipate risks, provide escalation management, make sound trade off decisions, and balance business needs versus technical constraints. The successful candidate has technical skills to devise solutions, design, build, and deliver it. You are expected to be detail oriented, with strong technical background and excellent problem solving skills. You develop a deep understanding of product design and implementation details to effectively represent engineering teams to senior leadership and customers. Your expertise in operational excellence enables teams to deliver robust solutions in highly reliable, low latency systems. You possess strong verbal and written communication skills, are self-driven and deliver high quality results in a fast paced environment. You really enjoy working closely with talented teams. You obsess over customers and have a passion for advertising.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
