About The Position

Fortive/Fluke is seeking a senior, hands-on Dynamics 365 technical expert to design, build, and support CRM and Power Pages solutions for its Commercial and Marketing organizations. The platform focus includes Dynamics 365 Sales, Customer Service, and Field Service; authenticated customer and partner portals; and marketing integrations with Eloqua. This is an individual-contributor role with no direct reports, based in Everett, Washington, with onsite attendance under company policy. The role combines solution architecture and complex hands-on development with management of offshore delivery and partnership with business stakeholders. The developer owns CRM solution design, data and security models, development standards, solution management, and ALM; builds and troubleshoots complex platform components; and guides offshore sprint delivery from planning through production stabilization. The position also translates business needs into requirements and technical solutions, and serves as an advocate for Power Platform and Dynamics 365 capabilities. The successful candidate will promote adoption by demonstrating new platform capabilities and developing Dynamics 365 AI and Copilot Studio solutions. Success includes reliable offshore delivery, consistent development standards, timely resolution of complex issues, trusted relationships with Commercial and Marketing stakeholders, and the launch and adoption of at least one Copilot Studio agent or Dynamics 365 AI capability during the first year.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of hands-on Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement and Power Platform-related development experience.
  • Expert-level Dynamics 365 development skills, including plug-ins, custom APIs, PCF controls, JavaScript form scripting, and the Dataverse Web API, with the ability to explain solutions personally built in depth.
  • Deep hands-on expertise in Dynamics 365 Sales, Customer Service, and Field Service, including their data models, configuration, and extensibility.
  • Strong command of the Dataverse security model, Dynamics 365 solution management and ALM, and diagnosing complex performance and production issues.
  • Hands-on Power Pages or Power Apps portals development experience, including Liquid, web templates, web roles, table permissions, and external authentication.
  • Advanced Power Platform skills across model-driven and canvas Power Apps and Power Automate, plus working knowledge of Azure integration patterns.
  • Experience working closely with offshore or distributed development teams and willingness to take on delivery management, including sprint and release planning, estimation, sprint ceremonies, code review, and cross-time-zone handoffs.
  • Experience bridging business stakeholders and technical teams by turning ambiguous requests into clear functional requirements and working applications.
  • Hands-on Copilot Studio experience and working knowledge of Dynamics 365 AI and Copilot capabilities, agent integration, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) concepts; enthusiasm for learning and demonstrating new capabilities quickly.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and technical writing skills, with comfort demonstrating technology to business audiences and guiding developers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Based in Everett, Washington, with onsite attendance under company policy.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience managing delivery for offshore or vendor Dynamics 365 development teams.
  • Experience building and launching Copilot Studio agents or Dynamics 365 Copilot capabilities in production, with measurable business adoption.
  • Hands-on experience integrating Dynamics 365 with Eloqua.
  • Experience integrating Dynamics 365 Sales with Oracle ERP for quotes, orders, and order fulfillment.

Responsibilities

  • Own Dynamics 365 technical solution design, data models, security models, and development standards for the CRM and Power Pages platform.
  • Personally build complex or time-critical components, including plug-ins, custom APIs, PCF controls, JavaScript form scripting, and Dataverse Web API integrations with Eloqua and Oracle ERP systems.
  • Select maintainable solutions using standard Dynamics 365 functionality, configuration, low-code automation, or custom code as appropriate.
  • Design Dataverse security using business units, security roles, teams, field-level security, and record sharing to meet business and compliance requirements.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex production issues involving plug-ins, transactions, performance, access and security, and integrations, using platform diagnostics and plug-in trace logs.
  • Own Dynamics 365 solution management and ALM, including solution layering, managed solutions, environment strategy, automated deployments, and preparation for Microsoft release waves.
  • Build model-driven and canvas Power Apps, business process flows, and Power Automate cloud flows with error handling and monitoring; document design decisions and review significant architectural changes with the enterprise architect.
  • Manage offshore development delivery, including sprint commitments and progress in Azure DevOps through testing, release readiness, and production stabilization.
  • Plan sprints and releases by prioritizing and refining backlogs, creating user stories and tasks, estimating work, balancing team capacity and skills, and setting sprint goals.
  • Run sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews and demos, and retrospectives with the offshore team.
  • Maintain a multi-sprint release plan aligned with business priorities, dependencies, testing, and deployment windows, adjusting as priorities change.
  • Convert approved requirements into technical specifications, design walkthroughs, and acceptance criteria.
  • Coordinate work across time zones, including dependencies, handoffs, and written decisions.
  • Review offshore designs, code, and configuration against standards, and coach developers through complex defects.
  • Report status, risks, and scope changes to business owners and IT leadership; escalate unresolved issues as needed.
  • Develop and support Dynamics 365 Sales capabilities, including account and contact management, lead qualification, opportunities, product catalogs, quotes, orders, forecasting, seller productivity, and ERP connections.
  • Develop and support Customer Service capabilities, including case management, queues, unified routing, service-level agreements, entitlements, knowledge management, and representative productivity.
  • Develop and support Field Service capabilities, including work orders, incident types, customer assets, service agreements, scheduling, dispatch, case-to-work-order handoffs, and technician mobile and offline experiences.
  • Design, develop, and support authenticated customer and partner Power Pages experiences using Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, forms, lists, web templates, and the Power Pages Web API.
  • Partner with identity and security teams to implement external identity and single sign-on, and ensure users map correctly to Dataverse contacts, accounts, and permitted records.
  • Configure and test portal web roles, table permissions, and page permissions to ensure users can access only authorized records.
  • Troubleshoot portal authentication, registration, authorization, data access, performance, and accessibility issues.
  • Serve as the primary technical partner to Commercial and Marketing stakeholders; understand workflows, pain points, business rules, and desired outcomes.
  • Lead discovery and translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, prototypes, and acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with Marketing on lead and campaign-response flows from Eloqua into Dynamics 365 Sales and on using CRM data to improve marketing effectiveness.
  • Explain solution options, tradeoffs, platform limitations, and effort in business terms, and validate proposed behavior with stakeholders before development.
  • Monitor Microsoft release waves and roadmap and identify opportunities to apply new Power Platform and Dynamics 365 capabilities.
  • Run demonstrations, showcases, lunch-and-learns, and hands-on workshops for business users.
  • Identify, prototype, and deliver Dynamics 365 AI and Copilot capabilities across Sales, Customer Service, and Field Service, partnering with platform owners on governance and rollout.
