About The Position

At Disney Experiences Technology, our team creates world-class immersive digital experiences for the Company’s premier vacation brands including Disney’s Parks & Resorts worldwide, Disney Cruise Line, Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, and Disney Vacation Club. The Disney Experiences Technology team is responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for all technology & digital-led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation, Facilities & Operations Services, and Merchandise lines of business as well as other initiatives including the MyDisneyExperience app and Hey, Disney!

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience successfully managing complex technical program/projects.
  • Adept at leading and prioritizing projects in a program and working seamlessly with distributed teams (onshore, near shore, and offshore).
  • Hands-on experience with Agile, Kanban, Waterfall, and Hybrid methodologies.
  • Possesses good interpersonal skills, communication (written and verbal), time management skills, and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Agile Application Lifecycle Management and development tools like JIRA, Confluence/Wiki, and Smartsheets
  • Ability to understand architectural and technical aspects of projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the supply chain industry, especially Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) like Blue Yonder, SAP WMS, Oracle WMS or similar large-scale warehousing solutions.
  • Experience with budget tracking, including actuals vs. forecast, submitting forecasts, and providing variance explanations.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Agile Certifications (CSM; ACP; CSPO; SAFe; LeSS)

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects within the US Parks Portfolio.
  • Apply project management principles and lead efforts around project schedule, scope, quality, cost, and performance risks.
  • Lead the activities of the team by understanding the role of each team member and their scope of work.
  • Develop and manage the project scope, timelines, risks, and quality management across the entire project lifecycle (initiation through completion).
  • Works with engineering teams, including Software Engineers, Product Managers, Architects, and leadership to establish processes across all program areas that will ensure success on strategically prioritized projects and improve efficiency.
  • Successfully develops and maintains project budgets and ensures their delivery in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
  • Maintains monthly forecast submissions, including making adjustments as needed to resource allocations, vendor payment schedules, and forecast for partner teams.
  • Conducts regular program status meetings with all partners, keeping needs and requirements continuously in view.
  • Builds program presentations and reports for management, leadership, sponsors, and partners.
  • Works with resource managers for weekly or monthly allocations of project team.
