Sr. Systems Engineer

Archer•San Jose, CA

About The Position

Archer is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to join its Development Assurance team and help launch its first certified aircraft. The role will architect the engineering framework that governs development, defining, deploying, and continuously improving processes and toolchains so teams can develop aircraft systems with high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. The position bridges engineering execution and company strategy and ensures the development lifecycle complies with ARP4754A and other aerospace standards. The engineer will establish and govern systems engineering processes, artifact standards, templates, and quality criteria. They will partner with multidisciplinary engineering teams to integrate compliant practices into daily workflows, provide training and support, and incorporate team feedback. The role also works with Product Lifecycle Engineering and Tools teams to configure the engineering toolchain, enforce compliance, automate traceability, and manage certified artifacts. Development evidence must support audits and certification objectives for ARP4754A, DO-178C, and DO-254.
