About The Position

Stellar Solutions is searching for a Sr. Systems Engineer to provide satellite-launch vehicle integration expertise and support to meet the challenging mission of delivering space systems on operationally relevant timelines. This role supports a customer charged with rapidly delivering first-of-their-kind operational space capabilities that protect space assets and defend joint forces from space-enabled attack.

Requirements

  • BS and MS in STEM field
  • 15+ Years of relevant experience
  • Relevant DoD/IC or relevant industry work experience with no less than five (5) total years of experience in a SAP and/or SCI environment with at least one (1) year of that total being within the past 5 years
  • Supported Space Launch Acquisition or Operations programs and organizations
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: systems engineering, program/project management, or acquisition management
  • Experience in DoD, NRO, and other National Security space programs
  • Knowledge of industry and government practices and standards across a range of applications related to system engineering discipline, space mission operations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with a high capacity to work in a team-oriented and collaborative manner
  • Must be a self-motivated individual who can work independently and in a team environment
  • Able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
  • Active DoD Secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance preferred.
  • Professional certification such as PMP and/or Defense Acquisition University Certifications
  • Knowledge and experience with the breadth of National Security space mission partners

Responsibilities

  • Provide satellite-launch vehicle integration expertise to include identifying, validating, communicating, and implementing launch requirements for satellite programs.
  • Develop products for contract development, early integration, launch vehicle selection, and launch operations.
  • Support launch service acquisition, integration, test, readiness, and launch of complex classified multi-configuration space systems.
  • Understand and communicate programmatic risks and advise on navigating the challenges associated with planning, hardware transport, check-out, stand-alone testing, integration operations, and day-of-launch functions on existing and future launch vehicles.
  • Integrate classified spacecraft to launch vehicles, including design and implementation of mission-unique hardware and CONOPs development.
