Sr. Systems Engineer (Quality Engineering)
About The Position
The Sr. Systems Engineer (Quality Engineering) will lead and oversee the SAP testing team in planning, executing, and managing comprehensive testing strategies for SAP implementations, upgrades, and enhancements for Record to Report and Order to Cash modules. This role involves collaborating across teams to understand requirements, coordinating appropriate test environments, and developing test strategies. The engineer will write, review, and maintain test automation scripts using Tricentis automation tools for SAP modules across different test environments, advise project teams on testing approaches, and perform business application functional system integration (end-to-end) tests. Responsibilities also include handling data migration projects with comprehensive test plans, overseeing processes for identifying, tracking, and reporting test results, and finding, tracking, and prioritizing defects and resolutions. The Sr. Systems Engineer will define, track, and improve quality assurance metrics, review and approve project deliverables, and act as an SME on SAP testing best practices, industry standards, and emerging trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
- 8 years of quality engineering experience.
- Full SDLC and QA methodologies, including SAP Finance functional testing, end-to-end testing, automation, regression, UAT and usability testing.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Testing Life Cycle and Defect Management processes.
- Experience with SAP, Jira, Selenium, SoapUI, Postman, RestAssured, Jenkins, version control systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in Java, SQL, Unix, and related scripting languages.
- Expertise in Test Data Management and Agile delivery frameworks.
- Ability to coordinate test activities with business users, developers, functional consultants, project managers and present test status, risks, and quality metrics to senior management.
- 2 years of experience with Tricentis Tosca, Syniti for automation and data migration testing.
