About The Position

TechSur Solutions is seeking an experienced Sr. Systems Engineer – Linux to manage enterprise IT infrastructure, Linux systems, and cloud environments. The role focuses on RHEL administration, Ansible automation, AWS and Azure platforms, and application server management. The engineer will collaborate with clients, application teams, and cloud engineers to maintain system availability, performance, and security across on-premises and cloud environments.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience as a Linux Systems Engineer or Administrator.
• Strong expertise in RHEL 7, 8, and 9 administration.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible automation and Ansible Tower.
• Experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of the OpenShift container platform.
• Strong understanding of Apache, Tomcat, JBOSS, and WebSphere application servers.
• Experience with cloud migrations and application modernization.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and client communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support IT infrastructure, including server hardware and Linux operating systems.
• Install, configure, patch, and upgrade RHEL 7, 8, and 9 systems.
• Install, configure, and manage middleware components, including Apache, Tomcat, JBOSS, and WebSphere.
• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for RHEL 7-to-8 upgrades, OS hardening, and automation tasks.
• Use Ansible Tower/AWX for configuration management and orchestration.
• Build and manage virtual machines in Azure, including installation of mobility and services migration tools.
• Provide guidance and implementation support for OpenShift and Azure cloud environments.
• Work with clients to resolve system, application, and infrastructure issues.
• Analyze application performance and use monitoring and performance tools to meet availability and performance objectives.
• Manage DevOps and CI/CD tools, including Ansible, Puppet, Jenkins, OpenShift, and AWS CodeDeploy.
• Develop AWS CloudFormation templates to automate EC2 provisioning, software installation, and service startup.
• Deploy and manage application updates across versions in JBOSS and Tomcat environments.
• Maintain system security, compliance, and best practices across on-premises and cloud platforms.
