Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field with 3+ years of experience. OR a master’s degree and 2+ or more years of relevant experience OR an associate’s degree and 5+ or more years of relevant experience OR a high school diploma and 7+ or more years of relevant experience
  • Strong background in writing automation and scripting tools using Bash, Python, or Ansible.
  • Experience maintaining system baselines, system patching schedules, and central repository management controls.
  • Experience creating, maintaining, and communicating complex technical documentation and infrastructure diagrams.
  • Must hold a current/active secret security clearance.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant industry certifications such as Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or CompTIA Linux+.
  • Prior experience supporting U.S. Military Command operations or Department of Defense enterprise technical environments.
  • Familiarity with enterprise storage solutions (SAN/NAS), virtualized environments (VMware), and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of DoD STIG implementation, security baseline compliance, and automated auditing tools.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, installing, configuring, and maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and other Enterprise Linux server operating systems.
  • Managing enterprise Linux infrastructure, system patch management, performance monitoring, and system administration workflows.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional technical teams, network engineers, and system architects to ensure system availability and secure baseline integration.
  • Troubleshooting complex system hardware, operating system errors, software dependencies, and network connectivity issues.
  • Automating routine system administration tasks using scripting languages and configuration management frameworks (e.g., Ansible, Bash, Python).
  • Maintaining system baselines, configuration management controls, and comprehensive engineering documentation.
