About The Position

The Systems Analyst supports existing processes; reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems; including coding, testing, debugging, installing and support of applications. The Analyst consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. Responsibilities include an understanding of the business processes which are supported by these systems. The Analyst is expected to write documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections. The Analyst writes manuals for users to describe installation and operating procedures. The Analyst relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. This position is expected to meet high standards for customer service and professionalism. An employee in this position establishes and sustains close working relationships with customers and subject matter experts as well as IT technical, development and support area to define and implement services and support. Position could be based in Canonsburg, PA or Fort Worth, TX

Requirements

  • BS - Computer Information Technology, BS - Management Information Systems OR BBA -- Business Information Systems.
  • 3-5 years' experience preferred, development or systems management background and experience preferred, Quorum application knowledge is preferred
  • Effective planning and follow-up skills, ability to describe technical issues in non-technical terms, developing test cases and business process flows, creating ad-hoc reports, analyzing, reviewing and recommending program revisions, conducting data analysis for various project initiatives, creating training materials for end users, strong personal interest in providing customer solutions, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strong written, oral, and project management skills, formidable MS Office, MS Power Bi/Power Platform, Visio, MS Project, SSRS, SQL skills, Report Querying/Writing (SQL, SSRS, PowerBi, PowerPivot, PowerQry), working knowledge of relational databases and client-server concepts, Understanding of project management processes, testing coordination, customer service orientation, SOX guidelines Understanding of Relational Database concepts (SQL, normalization, entity relationship diagrams),
  • Understanding of analytical processing concepts (trending, data mining, multidimensional analysis), Understanding of Object-Oriented programming concepts, Familiarity with SharePoint (lists, workflows, database services, forms)

  • Oil & Gas Exp Required: Preferred with Accounting, Land and Marketing systems supported

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and expertise to the user community in the use of the Accounting and Land applications.
  • Work directly with business users and internal developers on Range systems and developed interfaces.
  • Provide training for end users.
  • Responsible for gathering and writing functional business requirements.
  • Use creative problem-solving techniques to develop system specifications and requirements for programming modifications.
  • Assist in business solution design development.
  • Coordinate with developers and software vendor to develop system solutions in Quorum software.
  • Ensure effective testing, implementation and instruction of users involving system enhancements.
  • Provide post implementation systems support.
  • Responsible for querying SQL databases.
  • Other duties as assigned.
