About The Position

AnaVation is seeking a Sr Systems Administrator to join our team and support our mission critical customer in Reston, VA. As a Sr Systems Administrator you will plan, design, and implement infrastructure changes and system upgrades. You will manage and troubleshoot multiple VMware environments. Provide Windows Server and Linux administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Create STIG compliant images for Windows Desktop, Windows Server, and Linux OS. Create, test, and deploy software packages using software deployment products such as SCCM, PDQ, etc. Provide expert level support and mentoring for Mid and Junior System Administrator personnel. Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures for system and software changes. Utilize scripting to automate common tasks. Perform hardware maintenance/repair activities. Ensure proper planning and execution of major projects/maintenance activities. Provide advanced level administration and troubleshooting of Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP, and Domain Controllers.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience related to specific functional area
  • Current active CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent IAT Level II
  • Ability to write scripts using PowerShell and/or Bash.
  • Experience managing VMware, Nutanix, and other types of enterprise level Virtual Infrastructures.
  • Proficient in managing and troubleshooting Active Directory and Group Policy Object (GPO).

Nice To Haves

  • Linux OS (CentOS, RHEL) administration.
  • Satellite server administration.
  • Ansible playbook writing.
  • Implementing STIGs.
  • Experience supporting a software configuration management and development environment.
