About The Position

As a Sr. Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of equipment through cost-effective and timely maintenance. You will work with the Maintenance Superintendent in daily operations. Responsibilities include planning, supervising, and coordinating maintenance activities, minimizing downtime, following up on maintenance issues, troubleshooting technical problems, and implementing improvements in facility ergonomics. Additional responsibilities include maintaining required records, enforcing OSHA standards, instructing team members on the proper use of personal protective equipment, and ensuring compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) standards. Skill development of team members and the management of High-Pressure Boiler, Compressed Air, Hot Water Generation, and HVAC systems are integral components of this role. This position is also responsible for coordinating schedules, managing time and attendance records, conducting monthly safety meetings, collaborating with contractors and vendors as needed, and performing other assigned duties. Must be able to work flexible hours based on operational and staffing needs and be willing and able to assist with or provide maintenance coverage when needed.

Requirements

Education beyond high school, including special training, vocational school, and/or college courses.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in Industrial Maintenance.
Strong mechanical background required.
Elementary computer skills, such as checking electronic mail, entering data into document templates, or creating simple queries.
Must be able to work flexible hours based on operational and staffing needs and assist with or provide maintenance coverage when needed.
This position involves supervising a group of personnel performing similar and related maintenance tasks or activities.
1 to 5 trips per year may be required.

Nice To Haves

Completion of the Tyson Level 8 training in the MT or ERT program is preferred.
Experience in Anhydrous Ammonia, Mechanical Refrigeration, and High-Pressure Boiler maintenance and management is preferred.
Local plant experience preferred.
Experience and understanding of PLC control systems preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage work order and PM completion.
Plan and supervise cost-effective and timely maintenance activities.
Coordinate and support maintenance personnel, working with contractors, vendors, and company engineering.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to equipment.
Maintain relevant records and ensure OSHA standards and programs are implemented.
Instruct team members in the use of personal protective equipment.
Implement new ways to improve ergonomics within the facility.
Ensure compliance with Process Safety Management Standards.
Develop the skills of team members.
Manage and maintain High-Pressure Boiler, Compressed Air System, Hot Water Generation, and HVAC systems.
Coordinate team member schedules and handle time and attendance records.
Conduct monthly safety meetings.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
