About The Position

Lockheed Martin Space has an immediate opportunity for a Missile Defense Programs Portfolio Supply Chain Sr. Program Manager. This role will offer daily challenges in managing the supply chain organization, including subcontract program managers and subcontract administrators as direct reports. The position requires providing technical, programmatic, and subcontract leadership experience, including day-to-day direction. The successful candidate will ensure that program quality and mission success requirements and suppliers are managed to the highest performance standards, meeting their commitments and requirements. This includes ensuring compliance with all appropriate prime contract flow downs and being responsible for new business requirements, such as RFPs to subs, technical evaluations, and Basis of Estimate requirements through negotiations and definitization of the subcontractor. The role also involves overseeing the negotiation and coordination of additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts, ensuring all contractual, schedule, and technical requirements are satisfied, and managing technical teams for program hardware and software support services. Additionally, the position requires engaging in Supply Chain strategy for the overall Missile Defense Programs portfolio/mission area and attracting, developing, and retaining subcontract management talent to continually improve the group's performance, as well as mentoring, coaching, and advising subordinates in their professional development.

Requirements

15+ professional experience within supply chain, finance, engineering, or program management or combination thereof.
Must possess well-developed negotiation skills, and understanding of procurement/subcontracting practices, including FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations).
Demonstrated team leadership skills; a leader of leaders.
Must be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US TOP SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Nice To Haves

15+ years of professional experience in Supply Chain Management (i.e. Procurement, Subcontract Administration, Subcontract Program Management, and/or Category Management).
10+ years of professional experience in Program Management with major supply chain scope.
5+ years of experience in leadership roles aligned to subcontract management and/or program management.
Demonstrated professional experience within the aerospace/defense industry or an adjacent industry.
Knowledge of LMAP (Lockheed Martin Acquisition Procedures).
Demonstrated ability improving supply chain performance in a defense low volume production contract environment.
Ability to understand complex technical issues and major defense system product development and production challenges.
Ability to understand complex technical issues and lead subcontract management teams to develop solutions.
Familiarity with Strategic and Missile Defense (SMD) programs including experience working with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) or other USG customers.
Highly effective at multi-tasking in fast-paced environment.
Familiar with proposal activity (shaping, RFPs, proposal analysis), through execution of the work scope.
Highly developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Proven record of successful performance with a focus on mission success.
Possess excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation), to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization from peers to suppliers, as well as program and executive leadership.
