About The Position

V2X is seeking a Sr. Strategic Sourcing Specialist to lead complex sourcing initiatives requiring cross-functional collaboration, supplier negotiations, risk management, and compliance integration. The role serves as a sourcing subject matter expert for program execution, capture and proposal activities, and supply chain strategy development. As the sourcing lead for high-impact programs, this position drives supplier selection, cost optimization, performance improvement, and risk mitigation. It partners with internal stakeholders and suppliers to develop sourcing solutions aligned with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and operational needs. Decisions in this role influence program performance, supply continuity, supplier relationships, and cost structure. The specialist leads strategic sourcing across programs, develops cost models and pricing analyses, supports supply chain resilience, interprets and negotiates supplier clauses, contributes sourcing insights to business development, and mentors junior sourcing professionals. The position requires aerospace or defense sourcing experience, knowledge of relevant federal acquisition and export-control requirements, and proficiency with enterprise resource planning systems and standard office software.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience; one year of related experience may substitute for one year of education if a degree is required.
At least 6 years of progressive aerospace or defense sourcing experience.
Proven experience managing supplier relationships and complex sourcing negotiations.
Thorough command of FAR/DFARS, ITAR, and contract negotiation practices.
Experience using SAP S/4HANA or other enterprise ERP systems.
Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
U.S. citizenship.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.

Advanced degree, such as an MBA or equivalent.
Experience with Oracle Cloud, Deltek Costpoint, or Dynamics 365.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute sourcing strategies for OEM-restricted, sole-source, high-value, and assigned commodities, balancing cost, quality, risk, and compliance.
Lead supplier negotiations covering pricing, terms and conditions, long-term agreements, SOWs, BOAs, MSAs, and other complex pre-award arrangements.
Identify, evaluate, and engage suppliers for production and aging platforms; conduct pre-award assessments and supply risk analyses.
Serve as the primary point of contact for key suppliers and OEMs, building relationships that improve quality, availability, delivery, and cost performance.
Monitor and improve supplier performance against on-time delivery, quality, responsiveness, and cost-reduction metrics.
Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, export-control requirements, cybersecurity standards, and internal procurement policies.
Collaborate with Program Management, Engineering, Contracts, Legal, Quality, Business Development, and Supply Chain teams to align sourcing strategies with program requirements.
Use SAP S/4HANA or comparable ERP systems to manage sourcing activities, procurement data, and supplier information.
Provide cost modeling, supplier intelligence, sourcing strategies, and risk assessments to capture, proposal, pricing, and bid teams.
Evaluate market conditions and supply chain trends to support risk mitigation and resilience initiatives.
Lead continuous improvement across sourcing and supplier management processes, including digital process improvement and automation projects.
Mentor junior sourcing professionals and peers on compliance, negotiation strategies, supplier management, and process execution.
Develop should-cost models, detailed pricing analyses, contingency strategies, and dual-sourcing strategies.
Lead major negotiations and manage supplier recovery or escalation.
