About The Position

The Senior Staff Contracts Management representative will work under the Radars, Electronic Warfare & Acoustic Systems (REAS) Market Segment, with main support falling within the Airborne Radars Portfolio. This individual will work in a fast-paced environment managing contracts, negotiating directly with U.S. Government customers and interacting with their respective programmatic teams. They will have direct interface with USG and other customers such as the US Navy, DLA, and other branches of the military. The role involves reviewing customer requests for proposals and offering alternate approaches to mitigate risks involving schedule, cost, specifications, etc. The representative will maintain communication with cross-functional organizations and customers to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to execute required actions on time. They will also ensure contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations and will communicate and present to internal and external customers.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; effective in a dynamic team environment and at building relationships with Customers.
  • Experience with USG and commercial Terms and Conditions in all aspects of the contract life cycle including proposals and administration.
  • Experience with USG (FAR/DFARS) and commercial Intellectual Property terms and licenses.
  • Ability to make effective presentations to senior management and customers
  • Analytical thinking, risk analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to clearly recognize risk elements in business transactions, providing governance to the program team in carrying out the terms of the contract.
  • Commercial contract drafting experience and experience with various contract types and contracting vehicles.
  • Must be a US Citizen for consideration due to security clearance requirements.

  • Demonstrated abilities to develop customer relationships, provide RFP shaping/analysis and have participated in proposal development and bid strategy.
  • Knowledge of various contract types ( CPFF, CPIF, FFP, FPIF, T&M, OTA)
  • Ability to work independently and Task oriented and attention to detail
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment
  • Proven exceptional strategic communication skills, both written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, suppliers, as well as program and executive management, with an ability to persuade and motivate action.
  • Knowledge of Government property management, data rights, and proposals.
  • Complete understanding and application of Government contracting principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
