Responsibilities

  • Own product strategy and the Legal Technology roadmap: Define the multi-quarter strategy and translate it into a sequenced roadmap (epics, milestones, releases) aligned to business priorities, compliance needs, and measurable outcomes.
  • Lead cross-functional execution (strategy-to-delivery): Drive delivery across engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, privacy, legal ops, analytics, and vendors—ensuring on-time, high-quality outcomes with clear scope, dependencies, and release readiness.
  • Run structured discovery and VOC: Establish a repeatable cadence (interviews, workflow observation, data analysis) to identify customer problems, validate needs, and convert insights into outcomes, requirements, and success metrics.
  • Program/project leadership and operating rhythm: Build and run the delivery operating system—roadmap reviews, backlog health, sprint/release readiness, RAID (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies), decision logs, and stakeholder communications.
  • Prioritization and trade-off facilitation: Lead prioritization across intake, enhancements, incidents, remediation, and strategic work; make trade-offs explicit and drive alignment on scope, sequencing, and capacity.
  • Technical product ownership with depth: Define product and platform requirements (integrations, data, access controls, auditability, non-functional requirements including availability, performance, and security) and influence solution design.
  • Influence architecture and security-by-design outcomes: Partner with architects and security/privacy leaders to ensure solutions meet security, privacy, regulatory, and audit requirements with strong traceability and minimal friction to users.
  • Stakeholder leadership without authority: Align Legal leadership and technology stakeholders through crisp narratives, executive-ready updates, and clear recommendations; manage conflict productively and drive decisions.
  • Measurement and value realization: Define KPIs and dashboards that show adoption, cycle time reduction, control readiness, and risk reduction; use insights to continuously improve delivery and product outcomes.
  • Vendor/SaaS strategy and delivery oversight: Evaluate tools, lead implementation planning, manage vendor performance, and ensure value realization across adoption, utilization, cost, and risk.
  • Secondary ownership (ITC & IP enablement): Partner with ITC and IP stakeholders to set the strategy opportunities, prioritize a scalable backlog, and deliver incremental improvements that compound over time.
