Requirements

  • Ph.D or MS with a minimum of 8 or 12 years of experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience in NGS and/or liquid biopsy focused molecular biology.
  • Solid understanding of DNA/RNA manipulation.
  • Excellent organization, documentation and communication skills.
  • Passion for exploring new assays, hands-on experiment execution and creative thinking to solve problems.
  • Excellent ability to multitask and troubleshoot complex protocols.
  • Data analysis skills with experience in Excel, JMP, R or Python.
  • Prior experience working with a LIMS directed environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with automation (Hamilton or other liquid handlers) helpful.
  • ISO13485 validation experience helpful.
  • Prior experience in cancer biology is strongly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and help perform internal proof of principle projects, development projects, and verification and validation exercises for liquid biopsy products in the Personalis portfolio.
  • Work with the broader R&D organization to scope, track and troubleshoot liquid biopsy projects with internal and external collaborators and customers.
  • Collaborate with process development, tech transfer, and operations teams to shepherd early stage products, product revisions, and early projects through to operations.
  • Work with bioinformatics teams to plan experiments and analyze results.
  • Identify problems in current processes and come up with troubleshooting approaches.
  • Participate in meetings and present results.
  • Use effective two-way communication to create and maintain a collaborative working environment.
  • Support and ensure compliance with all department and company policies and procedures.
