About The Position

Our team operates a modern cloud service for preparing and testing ML models for Qualcomm hardware. We deploy to AWS with Kubernetes, a Python-based backend, and a React/TypeScript web frontend. You will work closely on the Cloud Services team that owns the frontend and backend, actively participate in design/UX review, code reviews, and technical design discussions. Your primary focus will be the frontend web interface, although you will be expected to have working knowledge of and contribute to the backend. You will receive technical direction from senior engineers while being expected to manage your own priorities, adapt to changing requirements, and consistently meet quality and delivery expectations as part of a fast‑moving, collaborative team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 6+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
  • OR Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 5+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
  • OR PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience with modern React ecosystem: React Router v7, TanStack Query, Tailwind
  • Experience with UX concepts, applying user-centered design principles to product development, and collaborating with designers.
  • Working knowledge of object‑oriented programming and design concepts
  • Proficiency in TypeScript, with experience using React and modern frontend tooling (e.g., Vite, React Router)
  • Backend development experience using Python
  • Understanding of relational databases
  • Basic experience or exposure to CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines)
  • Awareness of cloud platforms, particularly AWS

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Figma is an asset
  • Exposure to web frameworks such as Django is an asset
  • 6+ years of academic or industry software development experience
  • Experience working on real codebases beyond coursework, internships, or prototypes

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications and backend services under guidance from senior team members
  • Implement features and enhancements on existing systems using React/TypeScript frontends and Python backend services
  • Be an active participant in UX and design reviews
  • Translate wireframe designs into polished user experiences.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well‑tested code following established standards, including unit tests and integration tests
  • Build and consume RESTful APIs
  • Debug issues, analyze root causes, and propose fixes for moderately complex problems
  • Collaborate effectively with teammates and cross‑functional partners
  • Contribute to code reviews by providing thoughtful, constructive feedback
  • Document design decisions, code changes, and operational considerations
