Provide technical guidance to technicians and engineers. This role requires expertise in various facility systems including cooling systems (chillers, glycol chillers, cooling towers, process cooling water, water treatment), HVAC systems (FTU’s, make-up air handler units, air flow patterns, cleanroom filters, DX units), hot water systems (boilers), compressed air system, process vacuum, and scrubbing systems and general exhaust. The engineer will be responsible for maintaining equipment, reviewing and ensuring preventative maintenance is completed to specification and schedule, and implementing or modifying PMs. This role also involves active participation in department meetings, capital planning, and expense budgeting, SPC monitoring, leading process changes, root cause analysis on incidents, and managing complex capital and expense projects from concept to commissioning. The position requires driving continuous improvements, adapting quickly, upholding area upkeep and 5S principles, adhering to environmental health and safety policies, completing job hazard assessments, collaborating cross-departmentally, and maintaining/creating standard operating procedures. Training operations on SOPs and LOTO, and detailed record keeping and reporting are also key responsibilities.
