About The Position

Alacriant, a leading fabrication company, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Accountant to join our Accounting and Finance Team. Position Summary The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for driving the organization’s accounting operations through the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and reporting relating to sales, inventory, cash reporting, and other areas at the direction of the Controller. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments while maintaining compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
Experience working within an ERP or accounting software.
Experience extracting and manipulating large data sets out of an ERP.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

CPA/CPA Candidate or MBA Preferred
Experience in maintaining standard costs and performing cost analysis on part hierarchies with multiple levels.
Experience in a custom or job shop manufacturing environment
Experience with an annual budget/forecasting process.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations

Responsibilities

Lead the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments.
Ensure reconciliations for bank accounts, inventory, and key balance sheet accounts are prepared timely in accordance with internal guidelines.
Assist with cost accounting functions.
Support audits by pulling schedules and documentation.
Prepare financial statements and reports for senior management.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing financial data and analysis.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls, and efficiencies.
Mentor and provide guidance to accounting team.
Participate in miscellaneous tasks/projects and perform other accounting duties as assigned.
