About The Position

Crazy Shirts' purpose is to create original and memorable artwork on quality products that take our customers on an endless vacation in everyday life. The Senior Accountant plays a vital role in supporting this by overseeing day-to-day accounting activities to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with company policies. This role supports business operations by managing key accounting functions while contributing to a collaborative and efficient work environment. The Senior Accountant works closely with internal teams to maintain financial accuracy, streamline processes, and support overall company objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 4+ years of related accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Ability to multitask and differentiate between multiple priorities.
  • Ability to communicate financial results and goals across different disciplines.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong lines of communication and teamwork.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or CMA preferred.
  • Experience in the retail, apparel, or consumer goods industry is highly desirable.
  • Cost accounting experience a plus.
  • experience with NetSuite highly preferred.
  • Intercompany accounting and consolidations a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist in all accounting functions, including month-end closing processes (prepare/review journal entries, report analyses).
  • Assist the Controller with year-end audit and tax requests.
  • Review and assist in improving internal controls.
  • Perform monthly/quarterly balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Review, code and reconcile bank accounts transactions.
  • Ensure accurate recording of intercompany transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with leases, contracts, licensing agreements, business licenses and registrations, and sales taxes including preparing/reviewing reports, reconciliations and payments.
  • Assist in forecasting cash flows.
  • Prepare various reports for owners and managers.
  • Administer the corporate credit card program.
  • Fixed asset accounting, including capitalization decisions, asset life determination, depreciation calculations, and subledger maintenance.
  • File annual Form 1099 forms for all companies.
  • Collaborate regularly with team members and other departments.
