Sr. Specialty Underwriter - TMS Excess Casualty (Any PHLY Office)
About The Position
Under limited direction and supervision, underwrites and markets assigned products by providing high levels of risk assessment and technical underwriting expertise to determine underwriting acceptability. A typical day will include gathering and analyzing information, applying appropriate underwriting techniques necessary to make an accurate evaluation of risk acceptability. Prepares underwriting submissions, making recommendations and/or decisions within established authority limits. Prepares and participates in proposals to producers and/or accounts negotiating terms and conditions. Prepares and participates in marketing activities for business development and relationship building. Mentors and trains less experienced underwriters.
Requirements
- Previous E&S underwriting experience required
- Demonstrated marketing and agency development skills/experience required
- Analytical, results-oriented and possess a strong sense of urgency
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Nice To Haves
- 5+ years underwriting experience preferred
