About The Position
Yazaki is looking for a Sr. Tax Analyst to join our Finance team in Canton, MI. The Senior Tax Analyst position requires a self-starter, with excellent communication and organization skills, and attention to detail that will assist in corporate federal, state, and local tax compliance and tax research for the U.S. Yazaki Group.
Requirements
- Bachelor in Accounting or Finance
- 3 to 5 years of C Corp federal and state return preparation and research experience with a CPA Firm or within a corporate environment
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and Corporate Income Tax Prep software experience
Nice To Haves
- Experience preparing consolidated federal and multi-state income tax returns for large C Corps
- CPA Certification
- Japanese or Spanish skills
Responsibilities
- Prepare federal tax returns and related workpapers
- Prepare multi-state and unitary income and franchise tax returns, including estimated payments and apportionment
- Prepare sales & use, property, and other various tax returns
- Perform quarterly and year-end income tax accounting for financial statement purposes in accordance with ASC740; prepare related tax reporting packages for global consolidation
- Research a variety of tax topics and communicate findings
- Assist with federal and state audits
