About The Position

The Sr. Specialist, Quality Assurance serves as a key technical resource supporting Manufacturing and Engineering teams. This role provides leadership and guidance across quality systems, including weight control, packaging, incident investigation, and troubleshooting, while ensuring compliance with Hershey’s quality and food safety standards. At the Robinson plant, you will be part of a high-performing manufacturing team committed to delivering quality products to consumers. Requirements

  • B.S. or A.S. in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or quality environment

Responsibilities

  • Support production to meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards through auditing, training, troubleshooting, and incident management
  • Deliver training and education to plant personnel on food quality and safety requirements; reinforce understanding through follow-up and coaching
  • Conduct audits aligned with PEP, HACCP, and environmental compliance programs; review critical control point documentation for accuracy
  • Lead incident investigations, analyze trends, and implement corrective actions using systems such as SAP, LPR, and CONC
  • Manage sampling and laboratory-related activities, including micro, environmental, and retained samples; ensure proper documentation and reporting
  • Support instrumentation calibration, dosing preparation, and ingredient inventory management
  • Perform internal audits across HACCP, sanitation, and prerequisite programs; follow up on non-conformances
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using PEP elements such as Master Control Plans, SSOPs, HACCP, ACCP, and weight control systems
  • Partner on cross-functional teams and support new product launches from test runs through commercialization
