This position supports the Commercial Loan Lines of Business and is part of the centralized Loan Operations Closing Team. At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 2-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

Requirements

Loan Closing experience (or similar) in a Bank or Financial Institution environment is required.
Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills (both written and verbal) required
Commercial loan documentation and product knowledge required
Detail-oriented with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment required
Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft 365 productivity software required
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to effectively balance excellent client service and risk management
Knowledge of CIBC’s loan systems, FIS, ACBS, PCFS, Aspire, an asse

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the receipt, review and approval of Commercial loan documentation that will include Commercial Real Estate documentation relative to conformity with the approved loan presentation.
Insure all loan documents have been received, or otherwise waived prior to the loan booking process.
Make sure that the proposed transaction is in compliance with Credit Policy.
Track outside loan exceptions and will insure that all necessary documents are properly recorded and delivered to the Bank in a timely manner.
