About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Engineer – Drive & Energy Systems Integration & Validation to support the development, integration, and validation of advanced drive and energy features for next-generation Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) platforms. This role focuses on customer-facing and vehicle-critical drive and energy systems including propulsion controls, charging systems, battery management, regenerative braking, thermal systems, power distribution, and energy optimization features. The engineer will support feature integration and validation activities across HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop), SIL (Software-in-the-Loop), bench, dyno, and vehicle environments. The ideal candidate has strong experience in EV/SDV architectures, powertrain integration, diagnostics, and vehicle networking with a focus on delivering robust, safe, and efficient drive and energy functionality. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 10+ yrs. of experience
  • Strong understanding of vehicle E/E architecture and ECU-level software stacks, automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet), UDS diagnostics (ISO 14229) and diagnostic communication tools
  • Expert knowledge of Jira, GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, and Artifactory.ALM/PLMProficiency in Siemens Polarion, IBM DOORS Next Gen, or PTC Windchill.
  • Strong understanding, development and verification of plant and control models in MATLAB/Simulink for execution in hardware in the loop test environment, dSpace control desk and automation desk
  • Strong understanding of 1st principles in Engineering, result/solution oriented.
  • Familiarity with SW for embedded systems, EE systems and architecture
  • Familiarity with A2B, CAN, Automotive Ethernet, LIN, LVDS communication protocols and Vehicle Network tools, such as CANalyzer, CANoe, etc.‚
  • Expertise with complex problem solving, data analysis, access/interpret/drive results with extended teams.
  • Knowledge of Automotive design and development process, system requirements, and general engineering best practices

Responsibilities

  • Own integration of all domain controllers and distributed ECUs into the vehicle E/E architecture with focus in Drive, Energy systems.
  • Own Software Integration & Validation per vehicle software maturity, performance and release gates and approve vehicle integration builds (per milestones).
  • Integrate and validate vehicle drive and energy features across prototype, bench, HIL, SIL, and vehicle test environments.
  • Expertise in integration of electric propulsion systems, inverters and motor control systems, Battery Management Systems (BMS), onboard charging systems, DC fast charging and charging communication
  • Experience with thermal and energy management systems, power distribution and HV systems, drive modes and torque management and vehicle power states and sleep/wake management
  • Support software and hardware bring-up for drive and energy ECUs, gateways, and zonal controllers.
  • Support features bring-up, calibration validation, and vehicle-level functionality testing.
  • Validation responsible for network topology, gateway routing strategies, signal database integrity (DBC, ARXML), bandwidth utilization and bus loading
  • Validate and manage vehicle communication across CAN / CAN-FD, LIN, Automotive Ethernet (100/1000BASE-T1), FlexRay network framework
  • Validate and release bootloader compatibility, flashing strategy, partitioning strategy (AUTOSAR Classic/Adaptive), Memory and CPU utilization budgets
  • Develop and execute HIL and SIL test cases for body feature functionality and subsystem interactions.
  • Validate feature behaviors, diagnostics, fault handling, and software integration using simulation environments.
  • Validate wake-up/sleep strategies across ECUs, ensure no unintended current draw or parasitic drain and correct power state transitions during vehicle power cycles, start/stop/sleep, OTA updates/events
  • Validate UDS/DoIP response timing, diagnostic sessions do not degrade functional performance, DTC accuracy and freeze frame integrity and robustness.
