About The Position

The Sr. Specialist - IT App Dev is responsible for developing and integrating existing and new custom applications, and supporting line-of-business applications used by Interstate and Intrastate Natural Gas business users. The role collaborates with business users and IT to identify end-user requirements and specifications, designs and develops software systems using best practices, and creates technical documentation to guide future software development projects. It also includes testing and deploying applications, troubleshooting and improving existing software, and participating in an on-call rotation to help resolve issues outside normal business hours.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or foreign equivalent, plus 5 years of software development experience; alternatively, a master's degree in one of these fields, or foreign equivalent, plus 2 years of software development experience.
• Demonstrated ability with a modern JavaScript framework such as Angular/HTML5.
• Demonstrated ability with Java and/or Groovy, or C# as an alternative.
• Experience with relational database management systems, primarily SQL Server (T-SQL).

Responsibilities
