About The Position

The Experiential Marketing team exudes passion and a desire to craft strong brand experiences to life at Verisk. Whether it is leading a Verisk event or conference, considering a new Verisk experience in our offices, or piloting a new experiential technology to drive business value, this team plays a critical role in championing experiential marketing efforts for Verisk. As a Sr. Specialist, Experiential Marketing , you’ll bring Verisk’s brand to life through well-run experiences, owning distinct workstreams on mid-sized programs and leading portions of larger conferences. You’ll balance project management, operations (RFPs/contracts & Cvent registration tools), and logistics, collaborating across Marketing, Facilities, Legal, Procurement, Finance, and business stakeholders to deliver measurable outcomes, efficient processes, and memorable attendee experiences. This role owns defined workstreams end-to-end and serves as a hands-on lead for mid-sized programs while supporting flagship conferences and requires an in-office presence of 2 days per week, and additional days as needed to support events. Ability to travel up to 30% and work overtime or irregular hours as needed to support business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in events, marketing, communications, business, or related field
  • Minimum 4 years of event experience
  • 1+ years of project management experience, preferably within events or marketing
  • Corporate Events Professional (4+ years)
  • Proven success leading all aspects of event logistics and strategy (event feasibility, design, operations, on-site execution, evaluation) for global organizations
  • Demonstrated expertise in leveraging event technologies to produce a high-quality, customer-centric experiences and to provide post-event data and metrics
  • Experience with event technology platforms (Cvent, Passkey), project management tools (Workfront), and familiarity with lead capture and reporting.
  • Experience managing tradeshow inventory (ExhibitForce a plus)
  • Skilled communicator effective at all levels of the organization

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and project management tools (e.g., Workfront)

Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Cross-Functional Collaboration Lead and support client-facing and internal event initiatives, including: Serve as the operational point-of-contact for assigned programs; facilitate stand-ups and tracking/update documents with Integrated Marketing, business units, Legal/Procurement, and Finance Build and manage timelines, run-of-show, task trackers, and cross-functional plans (Workfront) Coordinate content deliverables and onsite staffing plans to ensure seamless execution Uphold brand standards across activations and internal office engagements in partnership with Creative/Brand/Communications Produce post-event reporting (attendance/satisfaction/costs) and partner with Integrated Marketing to connect lead capture, pipeline attribution, and ROI to event outcomes; standardize KPIs and dashboards Run retrospectives and document lessons learned; propose process improvements to increase quality and efficiency
  • Operations: RFPs, Contracts, Cvent & Budgets As part of a collaborative team, you will help manage the operational aspects of events, including: Drive vendor/venue RFPs, SOWs, and contract execution; partner with Legal, Procurement, and Finance to negotiate terms, minimize risk (e.g., attrition/cancellation), and ensure compliance with policy and budget Own PO creation, invoice reconciliation, and credit card receipt coding for assigned workstreams; contribute to post-event financial reconciliation Maintain version-controlled documentation and audit-ready contract files (signatures, COIs, amendments) Build and manage registration sites and email comms in Cvent; configure forms/logic, manage data integrity, and deploy reporting dashboards
  • Logistics: Planning & Onsite Delivery You’ll collaborate closely with leaders across Marketing and the business units to: Lead assigned event workstreams end-to-end (e.g., registration, housing, show services, breakout rooms, etc.), and act as day-to-day owner for small/mid-sized events; support program leads on flagship conferences Coordinate catering/BEOs, room sets, staging, ancillary events, and transportation; manage onsite registration and vendor check-in Coordinate AV/production needs and speaker logistics to ensure seamless execution Own shipping/drayage, material kits, signage plans, and show services (electric, internet, furniture) Manage attendee housing workflows (Passkey/Cvent): room blocks, pick-up reporting, cutoff management, special requests/VIPs, and hotel list exchanges Track staff/VIP flight details and support airport transfer schedules where applicable
  • Additional Responsibilities: Cross-Team Collaboration & Learning Support both the operational and project management functions of the team and serve as a hands-on execution lead for key events Participate in special projects across the Experiential Marketing function, including operations, strategy, and logistics Attend planning meetings and cross-functional check-ins to gain exposure to integrated marketing and shared services teams Learn and apply best practices in project management, event operations, and marketing strategy
  • Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve team efficiency Contribute ideas and feedback to evolve internal systems and workflows Contribute to shared playbooks and SOPs; mentor coordinators on tools, templates, and best practices
