About The Position

The Sr. Specialist, EHS leads the strategic implementation and management of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs to support workplace safety and regulatory compliance. The role analyzes risks, develops training, and serves as an EHS subject matter expert, while prioritizing environmental sustainability and continual improvement in safety practices.

The position develops and enhances EHS policies and programs; evaluates safety equipment; creates employee training; analyzes EHS data; investigates incidents; and advises on regulatory compliance. It requires independent judgment and discretion, regular and punctual attendance, and the ability to work nights and weekends on variable schedules as necessary. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

Requirements

• Associate's degree.
• 5–7 years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to work nights and weekends on variable schedules as necessary.
• Skills in advisory services, data reporting, EHS program management, environmental sustainability, incident investigations, policy development, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance EHS policies, incorporating best practices for PPE, equipment safety, and waste management.
• Lead EHS program implementation to support compliance in emergency preparedness, hazardous materials, and life safety.
• Evaluate and select health and safety equipment to support and improve organizational EHS standards.
• Implement environmental impact reduction programs focused on energy efficiency and waste management.
• Design EHS training content to educate employees on safety protocols and compliance requirements.
• Analyze EHS data, prepare reports, guide safety committees, and recommend corrective actions for process improvements.
• Investigate incidents using EHS MIS databases, document findings, and manage follow-up actions.
• Serve as an EHS advisor, research regulations, and interface with regulatory agencies on compliance matters.
• Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance and work nights and weekends on variable schedules as necessary.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
