About The Position

This role is responsible for supporting the Category Management team in optimizing product assortments, promotional strategies, and supplier relationships to drive sales growth and profitability within assigned categories.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in category management, merchandising, purchasing, or a related analytical role, preferably within a retail or wholesale environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level) and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and execution of category strategies, including assortment planning, pricing, promotions, and planograms.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats within assigned categories.
  • Analyze sales data, inventory levels, and customer insights to identify areas for improvement and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, manage product lifecycles, and ensure timely product delivery.
  • Support the creation of promotional plans and marketing initiatives, coordinating with internal teams and external agencies.
  • Monitor category performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports for management.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of category management processes and tools.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects to support broader business objectives.
