About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in category management, product management, or strategic sourcing, preferably within the healthcare or pharmaceutical distribution industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful category strategies that drive significant business results.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and category management software/tools.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies aligned with overall business objectives and market trends.
  • Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and consumer insights to identify new opportunities and optimize existing product assortments.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including negotiations, contract management, performance reviews, and fostering collaborative partnerships.
  • Analyze sales data, inventory levels, and profitability metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, supply chain, sales, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution of category plans.
  • Develop and manage promotional activities, pricing strategies, and product launches to maximize sales and market share.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports on category performance, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Identify and implement process improvements within category management to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
