Description: Overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end Sourcing operations for services and products. Appraise and improve our sourcing activities by analyzing the company’s spending, supplying partnerships to save costs and maximize profitability while working with the relevant departments ensuring standards are met along each step of the process for Canadian Solar Policies and costs remain within budget. Sourcing specialist will develop and implement innovative ideas to enhance sourcing strategies by understanding Supplier capacities and limitations and identifying competitive advantages.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Analytics, or related discipline
Proven experience in supply chain management, sourcing, and procurement roles for more than 7 years
Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
A strategic and analytical mind.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Creative problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of supply chain software and analytics tools.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Working experience of SAP or Other MRP’s

Responsibilities

Recognize the different project steps within Canadian Solar Process to source new Direct Materials (BOM Materials)
Recognize the different standards requested by Quality, Production and Engineering systems within Canadian solar to ensure product will meet all standards.
Understand and Develop Best scope of work to be fulfilled by Service provider and suppliers.
Be able to recognize product limitations in a given market and understand critical parts of a given product to identify capable vendors
Understanding Market situation for a given product
Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions.
Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising product quality.
Understand supplier capacities and competitive advantages.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain
Monitor supplier performance and address any issues promptly and provide Root analysis with plans to resolve in short term and prevent in long term
Collaborate with suppliers to drive continuous improvement in quality, costs, and delivery.
Oversee the procurement process, from requisition to delivery.
Run Internal approval process for full transparency
Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide strategic resources
