About The Position

The Sr. Solutions Architect (Cloudflare) is a consultative pre-sales role that drives the sales and services scoping of Cloudflare One products and services. They will be a thought leader, technical expert, trusted advisor, and spokesperson for Cloudflare One - Cloudflare's SASE platform. In addition to traditional presales activities they will track the Cloudflare sales pipeline, interact directly with the Cloudflare partner and sales organizations, and assist with developing the scoping process for Cloudflare services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent work experience and/or military experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience selling or supporting the sales of SASE, cyber security, networking, identity management, cloud or SaaS solutions.
  • Technical expertise in SASE, SSE, ZTNA, SWG, CASB, DLP, SD-WAN, and Email Security
  • Knowledge of key market players/competitors in the software defined networking, zero trust and cybersecurity solution spaces.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and develop/execute corresponding objectives.
  • Demonstrated experience presenting technical solutions and communicating the value of network and security transformation to senior-level executives.
  • Deep understanding of the modern cybersecurity landscape, including common threats (e.g., malware, ransomware, phishing, botnets) and mitigation strategies.
  • Fundamental knowledge of customer network and application architectures, including hybrid environments leveraging public clouds (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Hands-on experience with one or more of the following: Secure Web Gateway (SWG), CASB, DLP, DNS security (including DNS over HTTPS), Identity Provider (IdP) integration (SAML, OTP), Email Security, and SIEM/log analytics platforms.
  • Strong verbal and written communications, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to obtain Government Security Clearance
  • Must be a US Citizen

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with networking fundamentals, including routing, subnetting, VPNs, and SD-WAN concepts.
  • Familiarity with client operating system fundamentals and software distribution methods.
  • Knowledge of the competitive landscape for SASE and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solutions.
  • Direct experience with Cloudflare's SASE solutions (e.g. Access, Gateway, Browser Isolation, Email Security) is a significant plus.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to work to deadlines and prioritize effectively among competing goals.

Responsibilities

  • Support client opportunities for Cloudflare One and other Cloudflare products. This includes qualifying opportunities, developing appropriate architectures and solutions, presenting these solutions, and scoping services.
  • Clearly articulate the benefits and technical differentiators of the Cloudflare One primary use cases and product portfolio against competing solutions.
  • Align Director and C-Level perceived business value with Cloudflare solutions in the transformational objectives of securing remote work, corporate network modernization, adoption of SASE/SSE, and data protection
  • Develop and advise on sales strategies and pipeline generation in partnership with partner sales leaders.
  • Present to Partner AEs, Partners SEs and Architects, partner customers as an expert of Cloudflare’s SASE, SSE, and Email Security solutions.
  • Prepare and give regular business reviews to the CF1 Partner team highlighting attainment progress and challenges to closing business
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to Partner SEs/Architects customers, helping them architect the optimal solution for their business needs using the Cloudflare One product suite.
  • Analyze customer IT landscapes and security requirements to develop solutions that support their strategic objectives.
