About The Position

CDK Global LLC seeks a Sr. Software Engineer to join their team. This role requires deep domain knowledge in security and identity, with expertise in solutions like Okta, enterprise information systems, platform information systems, and identity & access management products. The engineer will guide, consult, and recommend broader solutions for CDK products, leveraging knowledge of other CDK products such as Drive, DMS, Modern Retailing, and CDK Service. The position involves developing advanced skills in the identity domain using tools like Okta, cloud computing, CI/CD, monitoring, and development technologies including React, Node, Spring Boot, JAVA, PagerDuty, and AppDynamics. Expertise in industry-standard protocols like OpenID Connect, OAuth 2.0, Single Sign-On (SSO), secure access, and federation (SAML) is crucial, as these are extensively used within CDK products. Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) architecture and design is also required. The role includes leading architecture maturity model initiatives, guiding team members, and contributing to the resiliency, scalability, and security of the product. The engineer will also coach and mentor multiple engineering teams in design and architecture for other products, utilizing technical, identity domain, and architectural skills. This position is 100% remote.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field plus 5 years of experience as a Software Developer or related occupation.
Employment experience using Identity and Access Management (IAM) technologies to design, develop, and maintain secure authentication and authorization systems across enterprise platforms, including migration from CA SiteMinder to Okta and implementation of Single Sign-On (SSO), Single Logout (SLO), and federated identity solutions using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SAML protocols.
Employment experience using Okta and its APIs to build and administer identity solutions, including custom integrations with enterprise applications such as Salesforce, Docebo, Microsoft Azure, Duo, and Google GSuite, ensuring secure and seamless user access across internal and external systems.
Employment experience using full-stack development technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, and React to build and enhance platform services, custom login flows, and user interfaces, ensuring modernized user experiences and secure workflows.
Employment experience using CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools including NewRelic, Cribl, AppDynamics, PagerDuty, and CloudWatch to automate deployments, optimize system performance, and implement instrumentation standards for legacy and modern applications.
Employment experience using architectural frameworks and design principles to develop foundational platform services, including Product Information Service and Authorization Information Service, ensuring scalability, security, and alignment with enterprise architecture maturity models.
Employment experience using industry-standard security protocols and token-based authentication mechanisms such as JWTs and API Gateway to integrate secure communication between services and enforce fine-grained authorization policies across distributed systems.

Expert over the last 5 years in the area and is in a position to guide, consult and recommend broader solutions to CDK product.
Knowledge of other CDK products like Drive, DMS, Modern Retailing, CDK service is highly critical to consult and engage with other products to provide suggestions and solutions.

Coach and mentor multiple engineering teams in driving design, architecture for other products with expertise in the technical, identity domain, and architectural skills.
