Sr. Software Engineer
About The Position
The Senior Software Engineer role will primarily be responsible for designing, developing, implementing and maintaining informational technology solutions for our global contact center. SS&C combines proprietary technology with deep industry expertise to support complex financial and health care operations. Our teams design, implement, and operate solutions that help clients manage data, automate processes, and scale their businesses with confidence. You will work with industry experts, modern platforms, and evolving technologies, gaining exposure to real-world operational challenges and large-scale enterprise environments.
Requirements
- Minimally requires a Master's degree and 1 years of related experience, Bachelor's degree and 3 years of related experience, or high school degree and 5 years of related experience.
Nice To Haves
- Python development experience
- Java development experience
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience with contact center platforms (NICE CXone, Genesys, Avaya, etc.)
- Understanding of NLP/NLU concepts and machine learning fundamentals
- Experience with API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI)
Responsibilities
- Design and develop conversational AI solutions using enterprise platforms (Soundhound Amelia, Boost.ai, Cognigy, Dialogflow, or similar)
- Build and maintain integrations between IVA platforms and backend systems using RESTful APIs and microservices
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Implement NLU training strategies, intent management, and dialog flow optimization
- Write clean, maintainable code following object-oriented programming principles
- Participate in code reviews and maintain version control using Git/GitHub
- Track and manage work items using Atlassian Jira and Agile methodologies
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize IVA performance
