About The Position

Are you looking to join a team using modern tools and development practices? In this role, you will help replatform WFG’s mission‑critical systems to deliver a unified, intuitive experience for our field agents and home‑office teams. Our engineering team uses spec‑driven development with Kiro as an AI coding assistant—so engineers spend less time on boilerplate and more time on great design, reliability, and impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
  • Three years of Core Java or .NET experience.
  • Strong understanding of OOP, OOD, microservices, REST APIs.
  • Proficiency with RDBMS and NoSQL.
  • Experience with AWS or Azure.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing cloud-native services with AWS.
  • Knowledge of ETL, event-driven systems.
  • Experience with AI coding assistants.
  • Experience in financial services.
  • Six Sigma certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with development staff and business product owners in an Agile environment.
  • Code, test, identify, implement, and document modern cloud-native solutions.
  • Use Kiro to generate scaffolding, tests, documentation, and evaluate AI-generated code.
  • Perform design and analysis for complex deliverables.
  • Lead system-level architectural discussions.
  • Utilize modern cloud and API-driven frameworks.
  • Mentor Intermediate engineers and guide design reviews.
  • Participate in pairing, collaborative design, and architecture sessions.
