Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years experience with C++, C# and Java
  • Experience in Linux, Windows, and cloud platforms
  • Knowledge of OOA&D concepts
  • Working knowledge of software development best practices.
  • Experience in Medical device or other highly regulated environments with established software development and change management processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with secure software development practices, vulnerability assessment and remediation, cybersecurity risk management, and implementation of authentication, authorization, and encryption technologies in regulated or safety-critical systems.
  • Experience leveraging AI and automation tools to improve team productivity, documentation quality, knowledge sharing, and engineering workflows.
  • Experience leading technical discussions and communicating complex concepts to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong written communication skills, including creation of technical documentation, impact assessments, and design reviews.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive projects across cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority.
  • Experience facilitating technical reviews, change control boards, risk reviews, or similar governance activities.
  • Proven ability to identify process improvements and drive operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates software change requests to released medical devices and supporting tools
  • Designs, implements, and tests software changes for released products while staying true to the original design integrity
  • Participates in change control board, risk reviews, and other project meetings as necessary
  • Works with cross functional team to communicate changes, and understand impacts to their function
  • Creates documentation throughout the development process
  • Commits to achieving and exceeding project goals and timelines
  • Performs duties in compliance with the Quality System
